Current Loop Transmitter

OTEK Corp. announces the release of its Current Loop (4 to 20 mA) transmitter that is powered by existing 5 A C.T., eliminating the need for conduit wiring and limited distance due to voltage drop on the lines. The CTT is powered by the company’s patent pending technique that extracts the power flowing on the secondary of the C.T. without accuracy degradation due to saturation. The technology eliminates the need to supply the compliance (typically 24 VDC) power to the transmitter and/or heavy gauge conduit protected wiring. Since the CTT can be connected next to the C.T., the H.V. (if the C.T. opens) is eliminated.
