Increased Level of Signal Integrity Extends Battery Life Supports Full Video Interface

IDT (Integrated Device Technology, Inc.) announces its DisplayPort receiver and timing controller (TCON) device for inclusion in flat panel displays for monitors, notebooks and LCD TV displays. The PanelPort device offers OEMs an increased level of digital signal integrity by reducing electromagnetic interference (EMI) on all monitor or display device interfaces by using proprietary spread spectrum clocking technology. The system improves performance by extending battery life and by reducing power consumption through optimal thermal management, enabling further differentiation for the flat panel display market. The device supports full video interface, and it includes security encryption through HDCP1.3.
