Link Microtek introduces its AMQ-LP1 series of waveguide low-pass filters that provide a rejection of better than 100 dB, falling to 70 dB at band edges. The filter series comprises five standard parts, using waveguide sizes of WR340, WR137, WR112, WR90 and WR75 to deliver cut-off frequencies of 2.75 GHz, 8.15 GHz, 9.00 GHz, 10.40 GHz and 13.50 GHz respectively. The devices are suitable for use as transmit reject filters, and they achieve a Chebyshev ripple response with sharp cut-off, a maximum insertion loss of 0.6 dB, and a minimum return loss of typically 20 dB. Fabricated from solid aluminum using CNC machines, these reflective filters feature a corrugated internal design and are supplied with a satin black painted finish as standard.
