Traveling Wave Tube Amplifiers

AR Worldwide RF/Microwave Instrumentation announces another model to its family of Traveling Wave Tube Amplifiers (TWTs). The Model 40T4G18 (40 W CW / 4.2 — 18 GHz) provides more power choices to fill in the power gaps between the 20 W and 200 W units. Along with the 50 W TWT that was added to the line earlier this year (Model 50T4G18), the new unit makes it easier for users to get the power they need, without paying for more power then necessary. The 40T4G18 is designed for applications where low harmonic content is required in sub-band ranges and where wide instantaneous bandwidth, high gain and moderate power output are required. It provides readily available RF power for a variety of applications in test and measurement (including EMC susceptibility testing), industrial and university research and development and service applications. Like the other AR Worldwide TWTAs, the 40T4G18 has a number many features, such as a built-in IEEE-4888 (GPIB) interface, 0dBm input, VSWR protection, gain control, RF output sample port, auto sleep, plus monitoring of TWT helix current
