Universal Instruments expands the capabilities of its Genesis platform offering by augmenting its dual-gantry (D-Series) configuration with a quad-gantry (Q-Series) and two single-gantry (S-Series) models. The Genesis GC-120Q’s cost-per-placement and throughput-per-square meter metrics makes it well suited for the high-end chip market. Launched along with this machine, the single-beam GC-30S and GX-11S will complement the GC-120Q with additional flexibility. These machines also enable manufacturers to address a broader range of surface mount assembly applications. The quad-gantry GC-120Q is also equipped with a speed-enhancing positioning system, and feeder and software technologies.
