Drop-In Module

XEMICS releases a DP1205 drop-in module operating in the unlicensed 433 MHz, 868 MHz and 915 MHz bands. The DP1205 module is based upon the XE1205 transceiver and offers a way to make any wired application wireless. With a 128 dB link budget (4.8 kb/s, 0.1% BER), a pair of modules can communicate over distances in excess of several hundred meters. Other key specifications are 15 dBm transmit power, 152.34 kb/s maximum RF data rate, 14 mA receive and 45 mA transmit typical current consumption. New features in the DP1205 include a 16-byte FIFO data buffer, an SPI-bus data link, and an enhanced AFC algorithm. The DP1205 module fully meets the requirements for 25 kHz channel spacing and adjacent channel power of less than – 37 dBm and is ideal for applications operating in the 433-868-915 MHz band such as alarms, security, automatic metering, services and controls. The modules are available in a surface-mount package that supports automated assembly and IR reflow.
