70 to 3000 MHz Broadband Amplifier

M/A-COM announces a RoHS-compliant SOT-89 broadband amplifier. The lead-free MAALSS0034 is designed for applications that require high linearity and low current draw. The broadband gain stage product is a GaAs MMIC amplifier in a lead-free SOT-89 surface mount plastic package, which can be operated from a single, three or five volt supply. The device employs a monolithic single-stage self-biased design featuring 50Ω input impedance, which minimizes the number of external components required. The broadband design provides low noise figure and high IP3 from 70 to 3000 MHz. The device is fabricated using an E/D MESFET process to realize low noise and high dynamic range and is designed to have a typical gain of 12 dB, OIP3 of 35 dBm and a 1.5 dB noise figure while drawing < 110 mA of current.
