Ansoft announces DesignerSI™, a design environment that combines with Nexxim™, HFSS™ and Q3D Extractor™, to deliver complete system-level signal-integrity (SI) solutions for IC/package/board co-design and verification. DesignerSI accurately predicts the performance of high-speed systems commonly found in optical networks, gigabit computers and communication backplanes. DesignerSI allows signal-integrity engineers to evaluate and optimize design performance and reduce overall design cycle time and costs. By combining Ansoft's circuit simulation product, Nexxim, with fast dynamic links to HFSS and Q3D Extractor, DesignerSI provides an environment for performing system-level analyses while making simulation details transparent at the component level. DesignerSI includes a design capture interface (via schematic or netlist), optimization and tuning, post-processing and system-level simulation for key signal-integrity metrics including TDR (time-domain reflectometry), BER (bit error rate) and eye diagrams.
