PLL Synthesizers

Analog Devices announces two PLL (phase-locked loop) synthesizers that deliver industry-leading performance for the upconversion and downconversion of RF (radio frequency) signals in wireless applications. The ADF4007 is a fixed frequency, low noise integer-N PLL that delivers a frequency of operation at 7.5 GHz, eliminating frequency doublers in many high frequency systems. This synthesizer is designed for cellular base stations and satellite radio link applications. The ADF4154 is a fractional-N PLL and offers the best phase noise performance of – 106 dBc/Hz under GSM1800 conditions. This PLL comes with a fast locking feature that improves frequency and phase settling times and a programmable modulus that can accommodate multiple system reference frequencies. The ADF4154 is suited for cellular base stations, private mobile radio, and instrumentation applications.
