NDK has released its ultra-compact NZ2016S series, an SMD XO (Crystal Clock Oscillator) measuring 2.0 x 1.6 mm with a height of 0.7 mm max. while weighing 0.01 g. They are available in a wide frequency range of 1.5 to 80 MHz. These oscillators exhibit a frequency stability of ±50 ppm over the broad operating temperature range of -40º to +85°. Versions featuring extended temperature ranges and frequency stabilities as tight as ±20 ppm are available upon request. The NZ2016S is appropriate for low-power applications operating on a supply voltage 3.3 VDC while drawing only 3.5 mA (1.5 MHz version) during operation and just 10 µA during standby.
