NDK (Nihon Dempa Kogyo Co., Ltd.) has developed a high performance, low phase noise frequency synthesizer. The S430M830MA provides a quality frequency source for terrestrial digital video broadcast basestations, 3.5G/4G cellular base stations, and trunk radio base stations. The device offers flexible design-in options with the frequency being adjustable in 1 Hz increments from 430 to 830 MHz and frequency stability of ± 0.1 ppm. Ultra low phase noise (– 95 dBc/Hz at 100 Hz) meeting DVB-T, standards is realized through the utilization of the company’s low noise OCXO and advanced digital signal processing PLL circuit. A low spurious emission of – 70 dBc is delivered through NDK's original frequency mixing technology. High reliability is guaranteed by the single PLL circuit simplification. The S430M830MA features a self-diagnostic and frequency setting/status monitoring function with an optional high accuracy, soft PLL circuit synchronization to an external standard signal. The unit measures 100(W) 吣(H) × 122(D) mm and operates in a temperature range of – 20 to +55°C. Interface is through an SMA-F connector and control signals through a D-sub, 9-pin connector.
