Beta Dyne introduces the FSR5 series of wide input/wide output, step-down switching regulators. The FSR5 switching regulators consists of fifteen models and offer an output power range from 2 W to 22 W, a wide input voltage range from 4.5 V_in to 18 V_in and a wide output voltage range from 1.0 V_out to 5.5 V_out. The FSR5 features regulated, adjustable output voltages (up to 4:1 for the 1.8 V_out models), efficiency up to 96%, over load protection (125% full load typical), continuous short circuit protection, remote On/Off control, a 300 kHz switching frequency, an optional auto sense feature and an operating temperature range of 40° C to +85° C. The fifteen models are further differentiated by their output current of 2, 3, or 4 amps as is reflected in the new model number format.
