Dual Voltage Power System Designed for Changing Environments
Tyco Electronics’ Power Systems business announces the debut of the Infinity NE system. The Infinity NE is an advanced power system developed specifically to address the need to provide dual voltage power in a dynamic, changing environment. The use of a "Universal" Power shelf of 1U height allows provisioning of power in terms of the number of slots rather than in terms of individual power modules. Any of these slots can be used for 24 or 48 V load requirements, rectifiers or DC/DC converters, ensuring that capacity is never stranded by changing needs. Selectable voltage distribution ensures there are sufficient distribution positions for each voltage. Two distinct platforms are available using this unique architecture, the NE-S for smaller applications and the NE-M for larger systems.
