Tecate Industries announces its CAP-XX’s ultra-thin G series of general-purpose super-capacitors. Comprised of the GS and GW series of single-cell and dual-cell devices, the RoHS-compliant parts overcome the power delivery limitations of batteries and other current-limited energy sources that include conventional capacitors. These low impedance devices have a low profile, and they are suitable for portable applications. They offer long-life performance at up to 2.3 V in the single-cell versions and 4.5 V in dual-cell configurations, with two cells connected in series. Both versions operate from -40° C to +75° C, while providing a small, thin form factor for any specified ESR and capacitance. These low ESR, high capacitance devices provide the power to meet peak current loads, while storing enough energy to meet large power surges.
