The ECM168 from WJ Communications is a 1.9 GHz PAS/PHS high performance power amplifier module utilizing InGaP HBT process technology. Key features include 33.5 dBm output power, a single 10 V supply, 33 dB typical gain, and ACPR2 at 600 kHz offset. No negative voltage is required and the efficiency is in excess of 20%. The ECM168 is housed in a flange mount package measuring 29 × 13 × 4 mm. This device is targeted for use as a driver amplifier in wireless infrastructure where high linearity and high power is required. This combination makes the device suitable for next generation PAS base stations.
