MMIC Mixer

WJ Communications introduces the MH1A, a high dynamic range PCS/UMTS-band MMIC mixer suitable for mobile infrastructure applications. The MH1A is a passive FET mixer that provides high dynamic range performance in a low-cost SOIC-8 package. The GaAs MESFET based MH1A uses patented techniques to realize +35 dBm Input IP3 at an LO drive level of +17 dBm. This device operates over a 1700 to 2000 MHz RF frequency range and features a low noise figure of 8.5 dB and a low conversion loss of 8.8 dB. This single monolithic integrated circuit does not require any external baluns or bias elements. Typical applications include frequency up/down conversion, modulation and demodulation for receivers and transmitters used in 2.5G and 3G PCS DCS1800, and PHS systems.
