Evaluation Kit

AMI Semiconductor introduces a transceiver IC evaluation kit that speeds the prototyping and implementation of low-power wireless functionality in implantable medical devices and other industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) applications operating in the sub-500 MHz frequency band. The AMIS-52100 Evaluation Kit provides all of the hardware, software and documentation needed to evaluate the company's AMIS-52100 single-chip, low-power transceiver IC. In addition to evaluation, the kit can allow designers to configure the IC to emulate the specific data communication and power conservation requirements of the target application. The kit comprises an AMIS-52100 evaluation PCB, Windows-based graphical user interface (GUI) software, and supporting cabling and connections. Using the kit, designers can establish PC-to-PC communications for the purpose of evaluating the IC. The intuitive GUI allows the user to modify the AMIS-52100 on-chip registers to configure key parameters including the proprietary Sniff Mode™ power conservation technology and clock and data recovery functionality.
