Fairchild Semiconductor offers designers of telecom, graphic cards and consumer electronics a single supply, highly integrated 6A synchronous Buck product that enables designers to reach higher levels of efficiency in less space. The FAN21SV06 incorporates a controller, driver and optimized power MOSFETs in a compact 5 mm x 6 mm MLP footprint. This small package offers over 40% space savings compared to a discrete implementation. The TinyBuck device is also more energy efficient, providing up to 95% efficiency compared to alternate solutions. To accommodate the needs of a wide variety of non-isolated DC-DC designs, the FAN21SV06 offers a broad input operating range from 6.5 V to 24 V.
