Hermetic Packaging
StratEdge introduces the G1616M-7 discrete semiconductor hermetic package for broadband applications. These DC to 18 GHz drop-in packages have twelve leads (six on opposite sides). StratEdge’s G1616M-7 is a glass walled package with a 4.22 mm square body and a cavity of 1.91 × 2.79 mm. It comes with an ASTM F-15 alloy base for up to 0.5 W devices. It can be supplied with a copper composite insert or base for higher power devices. The packages are constructed using a glass-to-metal seal process. The packages are lead-free and meet Requirement on Hazardous Substances (RoHS) and Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) compliance.
