LDMOS RF Power Transistors

UltraRF unveiled its UPF18060 discrete RF power transistor that is designed with the company's UltraGOLDII LDMOS technology for reliable performance. It serves as a drop-in replacement for Motorola MRF18060.

The UPF18060 ranks as the first UltraGOLDII LDMOS product in the company's new family of drop-in replacements with a frequency band of 1.805 to 1.880 and rated for a minimum 60 W output power. Future products will include 30 W, 90 W and 120 W power devices for DSC, PCS and UMTS.

The UPF18060 can be dropped into existing power amplifier designs with no matching changes required, facilitating quick and easy insertion into existing DCS base station power amp designs.

The UPF18060 achieves high performance at a low cost. It is ideally suited for CDMA, TDMA, GSM and multicarrier power amplifiers in Class A or Class AB operation. In addition to the high reliability of an all-gold metal system, UltraRF has demonstrated a 20-year operating life of its family of high-power LDMOS devices.
