Xilinx, Inc. announces the release of its 65 nm Virtex™-5 SXT field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) optimized for high-performance digital signal processing (DSP). The SXT platform delivers 352 GMACs at 550 MHz, while consuming 35% less dynamic power as compared to previous 90 nm generation devices, and is one of the first DSP-optimized FPGA families to integrate serial transceivers.
