Clock Fan-out Buffers

ON Semiconductor introduces three highly accurate, low skew, clock fan-out buffers with CMOS outputs. The NB3N551, NB3L553 and NB3N2304NZ are used to create multiple copies of clocks at full system frequencies. These devices are suitable for use in telecommunications, networking and automated test equipment (ATE). The NB3N551 clock fanout buffer operates at up to 180 megahertz (MHz), and at VCC of 3.3 V or 5.0 V. The device provides an upgrade to the industry standard ICS551, with improved maximum output skew of 160 picoseconds (ps) versus 250 ps for existing products. The NB3L553 operates at up to 200 MHz with only 35 ps typical skew between outputs and is pin compatible to the industry standard ICS553. Lastly, the NB3N2304NZ clock fanout buffer is a pin-compatible second source to the industry standard ICS2304NZ. This device operates at VCC of 3.0 to 3.6 V and is suitable for PCI/PCI-X applications
