Clock Oscillators

Vishay announced that it has extended the XOSM family of surface-mount oscillators with the release of three low-voltage devices in miniature packages measuring 5.0 × 3.2 mm with a 1.3 mm height profile. The Vishay Dale XOSM oscillators feature a standard footprint size and low input voltage ratings of 1.8 V (XOSM-531), 2.5 V (XOSM-532), and 3.3 V (XOSM-533). The efficiency of the XOSM-531, XOSM-532, and XOSM-533 is enhanced by a tri-state enable/disable function. With low-voltage operation, the devices also reduce heat dissipation for improved overall reliability. The three devices are rated for a frequency range of 1.544 MHz to 100.000 MHz, and all offer frequency stability options of ± 25 ppm, ± 50 ppm, and ± 100 ppm. These lead (Pb)-free, HCMOS-compatible oscillators are available in tape-and-reel packaging and are compatible with IR re-flow processes.
