The Harting micro card edge data (MCE) connector range is aimed at board-to board mezzanine or small "pluggable daughter card" applications. These MCE connectors are suitable for high rates (up to 14 Gbps) of data transmission in telecommunication, medical and industrial applications. They are available with 40 and 100 contacts in the pitch of 0.8 mm. Their smooth contact surface keeps insertion forces low, and it ensures a high contact reliability and security. The range offers optimal manufacturing features for SMT reflow soldering. The tape-and-reel packaging with a pick-and-place pad for a vacuum nozzle make the connectors suitable for high volume production.
