Analog Device’s ADP2121 500-mA DC/DC buck regulator comes in a 1.300 × 0.900 × 0.600 mm 6-ball WLCSP package. The device requires 2 capacitors and 1 inductor in order to function, demonstrates a peak efficiency >90%, and automatically transitions to a power-save mode during light load conditions. The component operates at input voltages from 2.300 to 5.500 V and fixed output voltages of 1.800, 1.820, 1.850 and 1.875 V. Applications include camera modules, GPS modules, memory modules and other modules used in smart phones, digital still cameras, portable disk drives and media players.
