Aethercomm's part number SSPA 0.3-2.6-1.0 is a medium power, broadband, solid-state power amplifier that operates from 300 MHz to 2.6 GHz. This amplifier is suitable for broadband military platforms. The P1dB at 25° C is 1.0 W minimum. Typical small signal gain is 25 dB with ± 3.0 dB typical gain flatness. Noise Figure is 4 dB typical at 25° C. Input/output VSWR is 2.0:1 maximum. This unit is equipped with the company's proprietary DC switching circuitry that enables and disables the DC/DC circuitry in 750 nSec typical on this unit. Standard features include reverse polarity protection, an integrated DC/DC converter with over/under voltage protection and output open/short circuit protection. This power amplifier operates from a +28 VDC power supply with a class A bias of typically 0.50 amps with no RF drive applied. The amplifier can also be configured for a +12 Vdc power supply with the omission of the DC/DC converter. This amplifier operates from – 40° C to +85° C base plate temperature.
