Rugged Connectors
Hypertronics announces the VME64x, a ruggedized interconnect solution designed for use in military, aerospace, and telecommunications critical applications. The solution comprises contact lead traces which provide good performance in high-speed signal applications. The connectors feature Hypertac® contact technology which offer a improved interface for immunity to shock and vibration and low mating forces. Hypertac features a hyperboloid-shaped basket of individual spring wires. The connectors are designed to be mechanically compliant with IEEE-1101.2-1992, ruggedization level 5 - supporting the premier embedded bus architecture. Aluminum frames provide ruggedness and conduction cooling. A keying feature ensures proper mating.
