At the Mobile Industry Congress of China, held in Beijing on December 10-11, 2009, Rohde & Schwarz was bestowed the Best Innovative Technology award for its R&S®CMW500 wideband radio communication tester.

Modern mobile phones support more and more new technologies and frequency bands, resulting in longer production tests and increasing costs. At the congress, Rohde & Schwarz introduced a completely new approach: The R&S®CMW500, together with the innovative R&S® Smart Alignment and R&S® Multi Evaluation List mode concepts and a non-signaling solution for final tests, can dramatically reduce mobile RF test time and, in turn, reduce production test costs.

China Mobile will build a small trial LTE TDD network in the 2010 Shanghai Expo zone, and an increasing number of Chinese companies are getting involved in LTE. The future-ready R&S®CMW500 radio communication tester is the ideal solution for LTE UE RF, protocol, IOT and application tests. In addition, it can be used in UE R&D, conformance testing, production and repair.

Organized by the Popularization and Education Working committee of the China Institute of Communications (CIC), the 2009 Mobile Industry Congress of China was held to promote the healthy development of China’s mobile phone industry, set up a high-level platform for cooperation and exchange for the mobile phone industry chain, as well as to honor companies and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to China’s mobile phone industry. The event was supported by China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom.
