The instrument integrates Integrating AM/FM/fM and pulse modulation. The unit displays a typical single-sideband phase noise of -111 dBc (f = 1 GHz) at 20 kHz offset in the 1-Hz measurement bandwidth, typical broadband noise of -148 dBc, typical output power of >17 dBm, and level accuracy of <0.9 dB. The device covers applications in the 2.54 GHz ISM band and EMC requirements for service applications, field use and university labs, while including a calibration interval of 3 years, a built-in self-test for error diagnostics, and the availability of precalibrated replacement modules.
