Signal Generators Gain Support for 1xEV-DO Rev. A



Rohde & Schwarz introduces an option for its high-performance RF and baseband signal generators that allows the instruments to generate signals in conformance with Rel. 0 and Rev. A of the CDMA 1xEV-DO standard. The capability is available as Option SMx-K47 for the SMU200A, SMJ100A and SMATE200A vector signal generators, as well as the AMU200A baseband signal generator/fading simulator and as AFQ-K247 for the AFQ100A IQ modulation generator. Current owners of these instruments can add the option as well. Option SMx-K47 for these instruments allows them to simulate four users in the downlink and four terminals in the uplink, it allows the operator to select the physical layer subtype, and it includes channel coding.
