Software Simplifies EMI Measurements During Product Development
Rohde & Schwarz introduces its ES-SCAN Windows software which, when used with proprietary ESPI3 or ESPI7 test receivers, enables electromagnetic interference (EMI) tests to be made at the earliest stages of product development, reducing the likelihood of costly redesigns later on. The software is easy to use, and it performs EMI measurements in accordance with commercial EMC standards. With a single mouse click, preconfigured test set-ups are invoked, setting all parameters required for measurements in accordance with the EMC standard selected by the user. These set-ups include transducer factors for antennas and for other test equipment. The user can also generate and store custom configurations. EMI peak values are determined automatically with user-defined thresholds, and all results are presented in graphical form on the instrument display.
