Rohde & Schwarz announces the R&S TS712x shielded RF test chambers for RF tests on devices with a radio interface. Models in the family are designed for RF isolation of devices such as wireless handsets, PDAs and automotive systems. The R&S TS7121 model is designed for tests on small modules and devices. Its RF test chamber can be expanded to house additional test support equipment, such as for audio tests on a mobile phone. Its high shielding effectiveness makes them well suited for performing interference-free, reproducible tests in accordance with many radio standards such as ISM, GSM, WCDMA, HSDPA, CDMA2000®, 1xEV-DO, WLAN and Bluetooth. The R&S TS7123 model is designed for larger devices like automotive radios. It can be used for production tests on the RF interfaces of car radios and other in-vehicle entertainment and information systems. Both devices can be fitted with either an automatic opening and closing door or a manual one. The automatic door is optimized for production line applications, and the manual versions for service and development.
