European Antennas Ltd. introduces two slim antennas for receiving and transmitting data within RFID scanners with focused beam radiation pattern. RFID is a major wireless technology transforming the tracking of goods and assets in retail, commercial, industrial, military and health care industries that will help to increase security, improve operational and costing efficiency. The European Antennas development team has designed a range of focused beam antennas for use in RFID scanners. Frequencies for this application are usually at 433MHz, 868MHz or 915MHz, depending on location. This slim panel antenna has a tightly focused beam pattern to provide good zone control and close monitoring of tagged articles whilst avoiding picking up tag signals from either side, or above or below the scanner.
