California Eastern Laboratories introduces the first in a series of isolated gate driver opto-couplers from NEC. Employing a BiCMOS process, the PS9552 series of opto-couplers delivers up to 2.5A output current with high common mode transient immunity (CMR) and fast switching speeds. PS9552 Series opto-couplers feature a GaAlAs light-emitting diode on the input side of the chip and a photo diode, signal processing circuitry, and power transistors on the output side. Under Voltage Lockout Protection (UVLO) is a standard feature. Also featured are RoHS-compliant white epoxy packages that are designed to limit heat absorption in high current applications. Four versions are available: An 8 pin DIP and an 8 pin gullwing-style package for surface mount, plus DIP and gullwing packages with 8mm creepage designed to meet international safety certification standards.
