Silicon Prescalers

CEL announces two miniature prescalers from NEC, suitable for designers of V-SAT terminals, point-to-point and multipoint radios, VCDROs and other products with PLL circuits requiring a "divide" function. The UPB1512TU (divide by 8) and the UPB1513TU (divide by 4) are designed for operating frequencies of 5 to 13 GHz, and are suitable for V-SAT, FRS, GMRS and SMR, as well as FWA and other SRW applications. The devices are fabricated using NEC’s 50 GHz UHS2 silicon bipolar process. Supply voltage is 4.5 to 5.5 V, current consumption is 48 mA typical at 5 V and output power is output power:– 4 dBm at 13 GHz. The products are both housed in NEC’s 2.2 × 2.0 × 0.5 mm TU package. This package features Pb-free terminals and is RoHS compliant.
