DSA Line Features Serial-Addressable Control Interface

Peregrine Semiconductor Corporation releases three 7-bit UltraCMOS digital step attenuators to complement its 50-? DSA line. These HaRP-enhanced devices offer a serial-addressable control interface which allows the user to control up to eight different DSAs using a common three-wire interface bus. The PE43701, PE43702 and PE43703 DSAs offer flexible attenuation options by covering a 31.75 dB attenuation range in 0.25, 0.50 or 1 dB steps. The trio offers high linearity with an input IP3 of 57 dBm, optimal attenuation accuracy of ?0.20 + 2% of attenuation setting at 3 GHz, and low typical insertion loss of 1.6 dB. There is no gate lag to settling time or phase shift, making them suitable for next-generation communication systems such as cellular base stations, repeaters, femtocells and power amplifier distortion canceling loops.
