Low Dropout Regulator

Microchip Technology Inc. announces an expansion of its high-current, ceramic output capacitor-stable low dropout regulator (LDO) family. The 500 milliAmpere (mA) MCP1725 and MCP1825 and 1 Ampere (A) MCP1826 (MCP1725/182X) LDOs are available in packages as small as 2 mm × 3 mm DFN and SOT223. The full-featured LDOs offer a wide range of capabilities, such as shutdown, power good and adjustable power-good delay. The devices add to Microchip's existing portfolio of LDOs, completing its line of low output voltage, high-current LDOs that provide a variety of feature and package options to meet the most challenging design requirements.
