EDA Software Platforms
Agilent Technologies Inc. announces its 2005 releases of Advanced Design System (ADS) and RF Design Environment (RFDE). Both EDA software platforms contain Agilent’s simulation technologies that help designers of wireless communications products get products to market faster. The new simulation technologies are fully integrated into the software. Highlights of these software releases include: Faster, smarter and stronger simulation technology DC and harmonic balance simulations run significantly faster (averaging five to eight times faster in benchmark tests); EM simulator improvements the 64-bit computer support solves previously unsolvable problems and cuts EM verification time in half; support for most Cadence Spectre-style netlists and models; Ptolemy Sources and Measurements in Cadence AMS-Designer. ADS Ptolemy source and sink subcircuits (system test benches) are available for use in Cadence’s Analog-Mixed Signal Simulator running under the Analog Design Environment (AMSD-ADE).
