Switching Power Supplies Offer Reduced Case Sizes

Utilizing high-density SMT construction, the multi-package PMK225 line of switching power supplies offers case sizes up to 30 % smaller than products with similar output power. Presenting power densities of up to 4 W/in3, the device is available in U-Channel, enclosed, or DIN-Rail mount configurations. Features of the UL/EN60950-1-approved power supply include short circuit, overvoltage and over current protection with an integral power-good LED indicator and screw terminal input/output connections. The 7× 3.86× 1.5 (U-Channel) active PFC switcher accepts from 90 to 264 V AC and provides a single output from 5 V to 48 V DC at up to 225 W at temperatures as high as 50°C with 18 CFM of forced-air cooling. Medical (PMMK225) UL/EN60601-1 versions are also available.
