Elcom's VSCR series enables clock recovery from NRZ and RZ data stream by automatically adjusting to any data rate within the unit operating range of 9.95 to 11.35 Gbps. An optional rate of 9.95 to 12.55 Gbps is also available. Data rates of 20 and 40 Gbps are under development. The module includes a clock recovery circuit and ultra-low Phase Noise PLL which tracks and filters the recovered clock. The PLL loop bandwidth can be adjusted from 1 to 80 MHz enabling a wide range of jitter tolerance application. Elcom's low noise VCO provides sub-pico second jitter generation.
