Dual-Channel LDO Regulator Suits Battery-Powered Applications

Micrel’s MIC5331/32/33 dual channel micro-power LDO regulator suits today’s power-hungry, battery-powered electronics, including mobile phones, PDAs, MP3 players, digital cameras, and handheld instruments. The device consumes a maximum of 40μA with both outputs enabled. The 2 mm2 MLF-packaged device integrates two low-quiescent-current 300 mA LDOs and up to two power-on reset circuits with very small ceramic output capacitors to reduce required board space. Exhibiting an operating junction temperature range from -40° to 125°C, the LDO regulator is available with fixed output voltages and full protection circuitry, including current limit and thermal shutdown protection.
