Technology Platform Operates in a Wide Frequency Range

Astron’s HESA II Technology Platform operates in the frequency range from 2 MHz to 18 GHz for most applications. The platform is frequency agile, and it can be modified to provide various select frequency bands within the 2 MHz to 18 GHz operating range. The HESA DF Platform provides a flexible platform for configuring multiple antenna elements in a small form factor. By networking various elements and their associated electronics such as amplifiers, multiple frequencies can be co-located, requiring less space. The HESA technology provides an environment that optimizes antenna and system efficiency, leading to greater signal capture and reduced error rates. As a result, additional frequencies can be added to achieve more target bandwidth while maintaining accuracy in a miniaturized form factor.
