The new CT317 Series Surface Mount Current Sense Transformer from Datatronic features the industry's lowest seated profile at a mere 0.160 inches (4.0 mm) above the circuit board and can operate very effectively over the temperature range of -55°C to +130°C.
The CT317 Series transformers are ideally suited for applications where board space is very tight and reliable performance is critical. They are perfect for low profile, high performance DC-DC converters and switch mode power supplies that will be used to power telecommunications systems, such as servers, network switches and routers as well as industrial controls and medical instrumentation.
Combining high-performance and rugged dependability, the CT317 Series provides overload detection, load change sensing, emergency shut-down functions, and power regulation. The CT317 Series offers many turns ratio options and performs optimally at frequencies of 100 kHz and above. Key electrical parameters include an inductance of 80 to 3100uH, a resistance of 0.50 ohms to 6.10 ohms maximum and an isolation voltage of 500 Vrms minimum.
Miniature in size and robust by design, the ultra compact CT317 Series measures only 0.284 inches (7.21 mm) wide by 0.120 inches (3.05mm) and stands just 0.160 inches (4 mm) high. The CT317 Series is manufactured with UL94V0 compliant materials.
