Logarithmic Detector/Controller Operates at 3 GHz



Hittite Microwave’s HMC612LP4(E) logarithmic detector/controller functions in applications in a frequency range from 50 Hz to 3 GHz. The RF power measurement device has a ۫ dB dynamic range from greater than 60 dB to 0.9 GHz, a 45 dB dynamic range at 3 GHz, an operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C, and input frequencies from 50 Hz to 0.9 GHz. The detector/controller has a ۭ dB dynamic range and up to 75 dB can be achieved. The 4 mm2 plastic QFN SMT device provides a nominal logarithmic slope of 19 mV/dB, a nominal intercept of -99 dBm, and a supply voltage from +2.7 to +5.5 V, consuming 29 mA at +3.3 V.
