GaAs INGaP

Hittite Microwave Corporation announces an addition of GaAs InGaP HBT MMIC VCO’s with half frequency and divide-by-4 outputs providing continuous frequency coverage from 8.45 to 13.9 GHz, complementing an extensive line of existing MMIC VCO’s. The HMC510LP5 (E), HMC534LP5 (E) , HMC583LP5(E) , HMC584LP5 (E) are a family of GaAs InGaP HBT MMIC VCOs that integrate resonators, negative resistance devices, varactor diodes and feature half frequency and divide-by-4 outputs. Designed with a monolithic structure, each of these VCO’s exhibit excellent phase noise performance up to 𤩤 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz over temperature, shock and process variations. The power output for each of these VCO’s ranges from +10 to +13 dBm from a +5 V supply voltage and the pre-scaler and RF/2 functions may be disabled to conserve current if they are not required. These products are complete, wide frequency range VCO’s requiring no external matching components. Available in compact, leadless QFN 5 × 5 mm footprint compatible surface mount packages, they are suitable for a wide range of applications including point-to-point/multipoint, SATCOM, military and test equipment applications.
