Hittite Microwave introduces three SMT packaged control device products, suitable for automotive, broadband, cellular/PCS/3G, test & measurement equipment, microwave radio and RFID applications from DC to 6 GHz. The HMC544(E) is a DC to 4 GHz, GaAs PHEMT MMIC T/R switch. It exhibits 0.2 dB insertion loss at 1 GHz, and has an input P1 dB rating of up to +39 dBm. This low loss, reflective SPDT switch operates with 0/+3 V or 0/+5 V control, and is housed in a compact RoHS-compliant SOT26 "E" SMT package. The HMC550(E) is a DC to 6 GHz SPST failsafe switch. This reflective SPST exhibits only 0.7 dB insertion loss at 6 GHz, and maintains this low insertion loss when no DC power is available. The HMC550(E) is switched by a single control line from 0/+2.2 V to 0/+5 V and is housed in a RoHS-compliant SOT26 "E" SMT package. The HMC542LP4(E) is a DC to 3 GHz, 0.5 dB LSB 6-bit digital attenuator with serial control, and is housed in a RoHS-compliant, leadless 4x4mm QFN "E" package. The HMC542LP4(E) features 1.5 dB insertion loss, +45 dBm input IP3 and 31.5 dB total attenuation. The HMC542LP4(E) is controlled by a six bit serial word, and exhibits good accuracy of ± 0.25 dB typical step error.
