Low Loss, High Rejection GPS SAW Filter for GPS Applications



TriQuint Semiconductor announces its surface acoustic wave (SAW) filter for GPS (global positioning satellite) navigation systems that features ultra low loss with optimal rejection. SAW filters in the Receive (Rx) signal chain weed out unwanted noise from non-GPS sources while minimizing signal strength losses. This process allows desirable data used to determine a user’s precise location to pass through the system. The GPS SAW filter portfolio gives users easy access to a variety of design options, enabling them to tune their device to a specific usage model. Whether they are designing a GPS running watch, a handheld industrial device or an automotive application, these filters help to improve signal clarity to simplify connectivity in various applications.
