Attenuator ICs

TriQuint introduces two new wideband attenuator IC types for Millimeter Wave digital Radio, Optoelectronic, and Aerospace applications. The TGL4203 is ideal for use as a gain control element in broadband fiber optic, aerospace, and digital radio applications. The TGL4201 series is a precision fixed-value attenuator family. The TGL4203 is fabricated using TriQuint's 0.25-micron gate length, 3MI MMW pHEMT process. The technical specifications for the TGL4203 include: operating frequency from DC to 50 GHz; attenuation range is from 0 to 17 dB; insertion loss is 2 dB; return loss is 15 dB; typical P-1dB (@ 15 GHz) is +20 dBm; control voltage is ם to 0 V; and chip dimensions are 1.7 × 0.8 × 0.1 mm. The TGL4201 is fabricated using the interconnect layers of TriQuint's 0.25-micron gate length, 3MI pHEMT process. Technical features of the TGL4201 include: operating frequency from DC to > 40 GHz; attenuation values of 0, 2, 3, 6, 10 dB; return loss is > 15 dB; power handling is > +28 dBm; and chip dimensions are 0.5 × 0.5 × 0.1 mm.
