Coaxial Resonator VCO
Z-Communications announces the CRO2645A geared for the broadband radio market. Utilizing coaxial resonator technology, the CRO2645A enhances point-to-multipoint radio systems by covering 2615 to 2675 MHz in 0.5 to 4.5 VDC of tuning with unmatched phase noise performance. This VCO delivers a spectral signal of 79 and 109 dBc/Hz at 1 and 10 kHz offsets, respectively, while covering the 60 MHz bandwidth with an average tuning sensitivity of 23 MHz/V. The oscillator is designed to operate off a 5 VDC supply while drawing 19 mA of current and provides the end user 3 ± 2 dBm of output power into a 50Ω load and over the temperature range of 10° C to 85° C. The CRO2645A suppresses the second harmonic to better than 15 dBc and pushes less than 1 MHz within 5% of the nominal supply voltage and pulling less than 1 MHz with a 14 dB return loss, any phase.
