Monolithic Microwave Integrate Circuit

Mimix Broadband, Inc. introduces a 3.5 to 8 GHz gallium arsenide (GaAs) monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) low noise amplifier, packaged in an RoHS-compliant QFN package. This device is processed in a highly repeatable, 0.25 micron optical pseudomorphic high electron mobility transistor (pHEMT) process and includes on-chip diodes for ESD protection. The amplifier achieves 2 dB of noise figure and 12 dB of gain. This packaged low noise amplifier, identified as XL1007-QT, is suitable for a variety of C-band applications, including WiMAX. The XL1007-QT is a self biased, low cost amplifier that eliminates the need for a negative voltage supply and external matching elements. This general purpose driver amplifier comes in a 3 × 3 ࡩ mm, plastic QFN package and delivers high performance for WiMAX application
